Serafín(1999)

Serafín is a Mexican children's telenovela that aired on Canal de las Estrellas from August to December 1999. A mischievous animated angel is sent to Earth to earn his Guardian Angel wings. In Mexico City, he befriends Pepe, an unhappy boy trapped in a difficult home with an abusive stepfather, and sets out to transform his life. As Serafín guides Pepe and his friends through family conflict and hardship, the series weaves lessons about love, friendship, kindness, and faith into its heartwarming narrative. Starring Maribel Guardia and Eduardo Santamarina alongside the voice of María Fernanda Morales as Serafín, this production made history as the first Mexican telenovela to blend digitally created animated characters with live-action storytelling.
