Captain Barbell is a 2011 Philippine superhero drama based on Mars Ravelo's classic graphic novel character. Directed by Dominic Zapata and developed by Jake Tordesillas, the series follows Enteng, an ordinary man who transforms into the superhero Captain Barbell to fight for justice. Richard Gutierrez reprises the role he made famous in the 2006 adaptation, bringing depth to both the mild-mannered alter-ego and his powerful heroic persona.
