Bette(2000)

Bette is a comedy series that marked Bette Midler's debut as a lead in television. The show premiered on CBS in October 2000 and ran for a single season, airing 16 episodes before its final broadcast in March 2001. Midler starred alongside a supporting cast in a sitcom format created by Jeffrey Lane, who also served as a key creative force behind the project. Though the series was short-lived, 18 episodes were produced in total, with the final two episodes airing on HDTV and in international markets. Midler took on an executive producer role alongside her starring duties, bringing her distinctive comedic presence to the network's primetime lineup during the 2000–2001 television season.
