Bridal Mask is a Korean historical drama set during the 1930s Japanese occupation of Korea. Lee Kang To, a skilled martial artist, leads a double life as an independence fighter, concealing his identity behind a traditional bridal mask—a gaksital—when he strikes against the occupying forces. By day he navigates the oppressive colonial regime; by night he becomes a symbol of resistance. The series explores whether one man's courage and sacrifice can challenge an empire, following Kang To as he balances his secret mission against mounting personal stakes and the brutal machinery of imperial rule.
