Down and Out in Beverly Hills is a sitcom that aired on Fox in 1987, adapted from the 1986 film. The series follows wealthy couple Dave and Barbara Whiteman as their comfortable Beverly Hills life is upended when a homeless man enters their world, creating chaos and unexpected bonds. Hector Elizondo and Anita Morris lead the cast alongside Eileen Seeley, April Ortiz, and Tim Thomerson. Only Evan Richards reprised his film role for television. The show ran for just 13 episodes before its cancellation in September 1987, earning the distinction of being Fox's first cancelled series. Though short-lived, it marked an early attempt to translate the film's satirical comedy about class and privilege to the small screen.
