Gloss
Gloss(1987)
Gloss is a New Zealand television drama that aired from 1987 to 1990, following the power struggles and personal dramas within the Redfern family's fictional publishing empire. The series became a launching pad for several actors who achieved international success, including Temuera Morrison, Miranda Harcourt, Lisa Chappell, and Danielle Cormack. Behind the scenes, the show drew writing talent from James Griffin, who later created the acclaimed series Outrageous Fortune, alongside Rosemary McLeod and Ian Mune. Despite its influence on New Zealand television and its role in shaping careers across the Tasman and beyond, Gloss has remained largely unavailable since its original run, though selected clips are preserved on NZ On Screen.
