KochiKame(1996)

KochiKame is a comedy series following Ryotsu Kankichi, an unorthodox police officer at a local station with an obsessive love of money. Alongside his exasperated boss Police Chief Ohara, celebrity acquaintances, and a cast of eccentric characters, Ryo-san stumbles through absurd situations and comedic misadventures. His schemes to make quick cash and unconventional approach to law enforcement constantly drag colleagues and civilians into ridiculous chaos. The series thrives on slapstick humor, running gags, and the clash between Ryotsu's get-rich-quick mentality and the demands of actual police work. Despite his questionable methods and questionable priorities, Ryo-san remains endearingly incompetent, making KochiKame a lighthearted romp through everyday police station life gone hilariously wrong.
