Animal Kingdom is a crime drama series following 17-year-old Joshua "J" Cody, who moves in with his criminal family in Southern California after his mother's death from a heroin overdose. The Cody clan operates under the iron-fisted rule of matriarch Smurf and her enforcer Baz, who manages their illegal enterprises. J quickly becomes entangled with his uncles: Pope, the oldest and most volatile; Craig, the fearless and brutal middle son; and Deran, the paranoid youngest. As J navigates this dangerous household, he must learn the family's ruthless code while grappling with his own survival. The series explores loyalty, betrayal, and the cost of blood ties in a world where crime isn't just business—it's legacy.
