The Adventures of Don Quick(1970)

The Adventures of Don Quick is a science fiction comedy series that aired on ITV from October to December 1970. Starring Ian Hendry and Ronald Lacey, the show follows Captain Don Quick and Sergeant Sam Czopanser, members of the Intergalactic Maintenance Squad who travel between planets righting imaginary wrongs. Quick's misguided heroics constantly disrupt the societies he encounters, creating comedic chaos across the galaxy. The series consisted of six 50-minute episodes, though only the first survives today. Despite featuring an impressive 30-foot model spaceship built for the studio, weak ratings in the primetime slot forced the final three episodes into a late-night slot before cancellation.
