Soutmansland(2000)

Soutmansland is a South African drama series that follows Leendra van Hellberg, a woman released from prison after seven years for a murder she claims she didn't commit. Returning to her hometown of Soutmanspan on the West Coast, Leendra is haunted by the unsolved deaths of her parents, who died in an explosion at their quarry. She's convinced the blast was no accident and suspects Gilbert Redelinghuys, son of the town's wealthiest property owner, played a role in their deaths. As Leendra digs into the past, she uncovers a web of corruption and greed. The Redelinghuys family is pushing the Coloured community off Vlaktevlei, land they once leased to the municipality, to build a luxury resort. Leendra's search for justice becomes entangled with the fight to protect her community's home.
