Not on Your Nellie(1974)

Not on Your Nellie is a British sitcom centred on Nellie, a teetotal woman who leaves her home in Bolton to run her father's Chelsea pub after he falls ill. Jed Pickersgill, unable to manage The Brown Cow himself, reluctantly calls on his middle-aged daughter for support. The comedy emerges from Nellie's complete abstinence from alcohol as she navigates the quirks of London pub life and its colourful regulars. Fish out of water, she must learn the trade while maintaining her principles in an environment built around the very thing she refuses to touch. Her arrival upends the pub's routines and creates friction with both staff and customers who aren't accustomed to her straight-laced ways.
