Over Water(2018)

Over Water is a Belgian drama series following John Beckers, a former TV star given a final chance by his wife Marjan and their children to rebuild his life. Fresh from rehab, he takes a job at his father-in-law's freight company in the port of Antwerp. The sprawling docks present a harsh new world with their own codes and traditions, but also unexpected temptations. As John struggles against his old addictions, he's drawn into the lucrative and dangerous cocaine trade that flows through the port. What begins as a straightforward attempt at redemption spirals into increasingly extreme schemes as John exploits the port's criminal underbelly for profit. The series explores whether a man can truly escape his past, or whether desperation will pull him deeper into darkness.
