Les Misérables(2018)

Les Misérables is a French historical drama spanning 17 years of cat-and-mouse pursuit across post-Napoleonic France. Jean Valjean, released from prison after 19 years for stealing bread, attempts to rebuild his life, but the relentless Inspector Javert hunts him with obsessive determination. As Valjean transforms himself through acts of redemption and kindness, Javert remains bound by an inflexible moral code that sees only criminal guilt. Their conflict culminates in 1832 amid the Paris uprising, when both men finally confront the ideologies that have defined their lives. The series explores themes of justice, mercy, and social inequality against the backdrop of revolutionary France.
