Die Hütte am See is a German drama series following Dr. Michel Camus, a Parisian veterinarian and animal psychologist, as he confronts grief and loss. After his sister is killed in a riding accident at Lake Chiemsee, Michel travels to Germany determined to take Ramboso, the horse involved, back to Paris with him. But the animal now belongs to Sylvia's father, setting up a tense conflict between Michel's need for closure and the local family's claim to the horse. As Michel settles into the lakeside community, he must navigate his trauma while building unexpected connections with those around him. The series explores themes of healing, responsibility, and the bonds we form with animals and people.
