Ants without Umbrella(2016)

Ants without Umbrella is a Japanese series following Jun Hashimoto, a struggling sci-fi novelist living on his savings. When his editor Tateyama pressures him to write a love story for a youth web magazine—a genre he's never attempted—Jun faces an impossible deadline. Desperate and creatively blocked, he confides in his childhood friend Keisuke Murata. Their conversation sparks an unexpected idea that might unlock the story Jun needs to write. The series explores the creative process, friendship, and the challenge of stepping outside one's comfort zone under time pressure.
