Slisse & Cesar(1977)

Slisse & Cesar is a Belgian sitcom set in 1958, created by Jos Gevers and Jeroom Verten. The series centers on an unlikely friendship between Sander Slisse, a wealthy insurance broker, and Cesar, a working-class man. Slisse's household includes his wife Melanie, their three children—Rik, Jan, and Tinneke—plus a recurring character, a perpetually broke factor always seeking gin money. Joanna Geldof appears in the cast. Filmed in Antwerp, the show captures the period charm and comedic tensions of post-war Flemish life. The series proved popular enough to be adapted into a stage play, which featured a different cast bringing fresh interpretations to these characters.
