Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga(2001)

Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga is a Philippine drama series that tells the story of Carlos Miguel, a wealthy young man, and Cecilia, a poor barrio girl, whose romance faces fierce opposition from those around them. Despite the class divide and social pressure, the couple fights to stay together. The original series starred Tanya Garcia and Dingdong Dantes and aired in 2002, later re-airing internationally through GMA networks. A remake premiered in 2012 on GMA's afternoon block, starring Andrea Torres in a dual role as both the real and fake Cecilia, alongside Mikael Daez as Carlos Miguel. This version modernized the ill-fated lovers' story with fresh twists while maintaining the core conflict between love and social expectation.
