Petua Nenek(2018)

Petua Nenek is a Malaysian series following Qaseh Arina, a university student raised by her grandmother Nek Dew, a respected midwife whose folk remedies and traditional wisdom have shaped Qaseh's life. Armed with a notebook full of grandmother's tips, Qaseh attempts to apply these remedies to help her friends in Kuala Lumpur, with mixed results. When her homemade treatments send a roommate to hospital with severe allergies, Qaseh is evicted and faces ridicule from those around her. Yet her unconventional methods win over Nash, a wealthy but socially awkward classmate, and the two form an unlikely bond. As Qaseh struggles to honour her grandmother's legacy while navigating university life, a mysterious woman emerges claiming to be her biological mother—raising urgent questions about Qaseh's past and why she was raised by her grandmother instead. The series explores tradition versus modernity, family secrets, and the power of inherited wisdom.
