Asaki Yumemishi(2013)

Asaki Yumemishi is a historical drama set in 1681 Japan. Oshichi, the daughter of vegetable merchants, is sent to a temple while her family rebuilds after a devastating fire. There she meets Kichisaburo, a young man devoted to caring for homeless children, and falls deeply in love. Working alongside him to help the vulnerable, Oshichi finds purpose and connection. But when she returns home, her father has already arranged a different marriage for her, forcing her to choose between duty to her family and her heart's true desire.
