Acquitted(2015)

Acquitted is a Norwegian drama series following Aksel Borgen, a successful businessman who returns to his hometown after two decades away. Once convicted and then acquitted of murdering his high school sweetheart, Aksel has built a prosperous career across Asia. Now he's called back to rescue a struggling local company, forcing him to confront the ghosts of his past. The town remembers his dark history, and his return stirs up old suspicions and unresolved questions about what really happened all those years ago. As Aksel navigates the business challenge ahead, he must also reckon with the lingering doubt and resentment that still defines how his community sees him.
