Alias Grace(2017)

Alias Grace is a historical drama series based on the true story of Grace Marks, an Irish immigrant housemaid convicted in 1843 for murdering her employer Thomas Kinnear. Grace insists she has no memory of the crime, yet evidence points firmly toward her guilt. A decade into her imprisonment, psychiatrist Dr. Simon Jordan begins working with Grace to uncover the truth of what happened that night. As he probes her fragmented recollections, the line between fact and fabrication blurs, raising questions about whether justice was truly served or a vulnerable woman was made a convenient scapegoat. The series explores themes of memory, class, and redemption against a richly detailed 19th-century backdrop.
