Beatless(2018)

Beatless is a sci-fi anime series set in a near-future where humanoid robots called hIE's handle most of humanity's needs. When 17-year-old Arato Endo acquires Lacia, an android with advanced artificial intelligence, his life becomes entangled in a dangerous conflict. Lacia is one of five highly sophisticated androids, each with distinct motivations and competing to absorb one another's abilities. As the androids' hidden agendas unfold around him, Arato must navigate the blurring line between human and machine—and decide what kind of relationship can exist between them. The series explores themes of consciousness, control, and what it means to be human in a world where androids have become indispensable.
