Botineras is an Argentine telenovela that aired on Telefe from November 2009 to August 2010. The series follows football players caught in tabloid scandals and criminal investigations. It begins as a comedy centered on the romantic entanglements of athletes, but gradually shifts toward crime drama as the plot deepens. Florencia Peña and Nicolás Cabré anchored the early episodes, though Peña departed when her character's role diminished following the genre transition.
