Broadside(1964)

Broadside is a 1960s military comedy series following Lt. Anne Morgan and her fellow Waves—members of the Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service—who are stationed at a remote naval outpost on the fictional island of Ranakai. When Commander Adrian learns of their arrival, he's determined to ship them out, unwilling to let the women disrupt his cushy South Seas posting complete with a prized gourmet cook. What unfolds is a battle of wits as the resourceful female officers clash with Adrian's schemes to transfer them, all while navigating the absurdities of military life in paradise. The series blends service comedy with fish-out-of-water humor as the Waves prove themselves indispensable despite the commander's resistance.
