Commandments(2017)

Commandments is an Israeli series that follows three ultra-Orthodox soldiers as they enlist in the Israel Defense Forces and undergo combat training. Through the eyes of Amram Elkayam, Gur Aryeh, and Yaakov Anielbitsh, the show explores their collision with a world vastly different from their insular communities. The soldiers navigate unfamiliar social dynamics, including interactions with women in secular settings, while grappling with hostility from their own families and communities back home. As they adapt to military life, tensions emerge between their religious convictions and the demands of service. The series examines identity, faith, and belonging as these men struggle to bridge two fundamentally different worlds.
