Dzisay is a Japanese series that reimagines an ancient imperial tradition for modern times. Centuries ago, emperors kept a Jisai—a sacrificial scapegoat tasked with absorbing their master's misfortunes. Today, a wealthy businessman resurrects this practice, hiring an unemployed intellectual to serve as his personal lightning rod. As troubles and setbacks mount, the unlikely pair navigate a darkly comedic arrangement that blurs the line between servitude and salvation.
