Folio(1955)

Folio is a Canadian television series that aired from 1956 to 1960, establishing itself as a pioneering fine-arts program before evolving into CBC's Festival. The show presented original dramas, musical compositions, and ballets drawn from across Canada, featuring both established and emerging Canadian talent. Barry Morse starred in a new production of Macbeth, while Robert Goulet and Sharon Acker delivered memorable performances. A musical adaptation of Anne of Green Gables ranked among the series' most celebrated episodes. Operating without commercial sponsorship, Folio maintained its commitment to showcasing Canadian arts and culture throughout its four-year run, concluding in fall 1960.
