Get Smart is an American comedy series that brilliantly satirizes the spy-thriller genre. Created by Mel Brooks and Buck Henry, it stars Don Adams as bumbling secret agent Maxwell Smart, alongside Barbara Feldon and Edward Platt. The show mines laughs from the collision of James Bond glamour and slapstick absurdity—a deliberately "insane combination," as Brooks described it. Maxwell stumbles through assignments for the intelligence agency CONTROL, constantly foiling his own missions while somehow saving the day.
