Hot Shots is a Canadian crime drama series that aired briefly on CBS in 1986 and CTV in 1987. The show follows Amanda Reed and Jake West, two crime journalists working for the tabloid magazine Crime World, played by Dorothy Parke and Booth Savage. Their investigations into criminal cases form the core of the series, which also features Paul Burke, Clark Johnson, Heather Smith, and Mung Ling. Despite its short run of just twelve episodes, Hot Shots marked an early collaboration for producers who would go on to create the series Diamonds the following year. The show was part of CBS's late-night crime drama lineup, blending investigative journalism with dramatic storytelling.
