Monkey Turn is a sports anime series following Kenji Hatano, a former baseball hopeful who abandons the diamond after realizing one player's mistake can derail an entire team. When his principal introduces him to kyotei—high-speed hydroboat racing—Kenji becomes obsessed with mastering the Monkey Turn, a daring racing technique. After a spectacular crash attempting the move, he commits fully to professional racing. Two years of grueling training at Yamato Racing School culminate in a bold promise to his friend Sumi: become Japan's number-one kyotei racer within three years. The series chronicles Kenji's relentless pursuit of excellence, fierce competition on the water, and the personal sacrifices required to reach the top of Japan's most thrilling motorsport.
