MPD Psycho is a six-part Japanese horror miniseries directed by Takashi Miike, adapted from Eiji Ōtsuka's manga. Homicide detective Yosuke Kobayashi witnesses his wife's murder at the hands of serial killer Shinji Nishizono. Traumatized by the killing, Kobayashi develops multiple personality disorder and transforms into the persona of Kazuhiko Amamiya. Driven by vengeance, Amamiya pursues Nishizono across a surreal landscape of violence and fractured reality.
