Murderville is an improvisational crime comedy following eccentric detective Terry Seattle as he investigates a series of murders alongside rotating celebrity guest stars who have no idea what they're doing. Each episode pairs Seattle with a different famous face tasked with solving the case in real time, creating chaotic and unpredictable comedy as the detective tries to steer the investigation while his bewildered co-stars stumble through interrogations and crime scenes. The show blends absurdist humor with genuine mystery elements, relying heavily on improvisation to keep every episode fresh and surprising. It's a clever twist on the detective procedural, where the comedy comes not from scripted jokes but from watching A-list celebrities completely out of their depth trying to crack cases alongside a seasoned (if unhinged) investigator.
