Rollergirls is a 2006 A&E reality series that captures the personalities and lives of women in the Austin-based Lonestar Rollergirls roller derby league. The show follows skaters like Cha Cha, Venis Envy, Punky Bruiser, Miss Conduct, and others as they balance their roles on teams including the Hellcats, Holy Rollers, Las Putas Del Fuego, and Rhinestone Cowgirls. Founded in 2001 as a skater-owned operation, the league—now called Texas Roller Derby—remains active today with five home teams. Produced by Gary and Julie Auerbach, the creators behind MTV's Laguna Beach, Rollergirls aired Monday nights starting January 2, 2006, with repeats throughout the week. The series ran for one season, offering an unfiltered look at the sport's competitive spirit and the athletes who drive it.
