Side Beat(1999)

Side Beat is a Hong Kong comedy series following Fun, a long-serving auxiliary policeman who loses his job after accidentally ticketing his supervisor. He lands a supervisory role at a food company through his friend Wai, where his staff quickly respects him. Meanwhile, a new recruit named Shun joins the auxiliary police force—disciplined and dedicated, but their relationship fractures when Shun accidentally shoots Fun's friend. Tension escalates when Fun discovers Shun is the food company's new manager, forcing them to navigate conflict across both their part-time and full-time roles. Despite constant friction and arguments, the two gradually develop an unlikely friendship, blending workplace comedy with themes of redemption and unexpected connection.
