#SittingAtHome is a Russian series set during lockdown, following three interconnected stories of ordinary people navigating an extraordinary crisis. Gennady Borisovich, a hardware store owner in Podolsk, fights to keep his business afloat while his wife remains stranded in Bali. Former FSB Colonel Sergey Dergach holes up at his dacha with alcohol and questionable intelligence that unsettles his former colleagues. Meanwhile, Gennady's secretary Julia faces personal upheaval—her secret boyfriend has isolated with his own family, forced to sneak away to a closet just to speak with her. As the world sings from balconies and throws virtual parties, these characters grapple with isolation, infidelity, professional anxiety, and economic collapse. The series captures the absurdity and intimacy of lockdown life with dark humor and genuine pathos.
