The Cloud Throne is a Thai drama following Panrung Samurtaewa, the ambitious daughter of a powerful CEO who returns home after studying abroad. Her mother expects her to inherit the family business, but Panrung's personal life quickly spirals into romantic chaos. At her welcome party, she reconnects with her old schoolmate Gunteeya and meets Gunteeya's fiancé, Lieutenant Wasuthep—who immediately abandons his engagement to pursue Panrung instead. Just as quickly, Panrung grows bored with Wasuthep and falls for Chunam Direkeithiya, a charming overseas student with far more spark. She breaks off her engagement and marries Chunam against her mother's fierce objections.
