The Forest(2017)

The Forest is a French mystery series set in a small Ardennes village where a sixteen-year-old girl vanishes into the woods after a late-night call to her teacher. Captain Gaspard Deker, a former soldier turned single father newly arrived in town, leads the investigation alongside local police officer Virginie Musso. The girl's teacher, Eve Mendel, becomes central to the case—a solitary woman with her own dark history, having been found as a child wandering silently in that same forest years earlier. As the search deepens, Eve's mysterious past and the forest's secrets threaten to unravel the investigation, blurring the line between hunter and hunted.
