Transatlantic(2023)

Transatlantic is a historical drama miniseries that follows two Americans and their allies running a desperate rescue operation in 1940 Marseilles. As Nazi forces sweep across Europe, they work to smuggle out artists, writers, and intellectuals fleeing the continent. Based on Julie Orringer's 2019 novel The Flight Portfolio, the series dramatizes the true story of the Emergency Rescue Committee, which operated across Marseilles, Spain, and Portugal after France's fall. The cast includes encounters with real historical figures whose lives were saved or forever changed by the Committee's efforts. Created by Anna Winger and Daniel Hendler, Transatlantic captures the moral urgency and human cost of resistance during World War II's darkest hours.
