Wallander(2005)

Wallander is a Swedish crime drama series based on Henning Mankell's Kurt Wallander novels, starring Krister Henriksson as the brooding detective. Set in the coastal town of Ystad in southern Sweden, the show follows Wallander as he investigates dark and complex cases that test his resolve and personal life. The first two seasons comprise 26 episodes produced between 2005 and 2010, blending adaptations of Mankell's novels with original storylines. A third season of six feature-length episodes aired in 2013, introducing Wallander's daughter Linda as a new investigator. The BBC broadcast all episodes on BBC Four, bringing the gritty Nordic noir to international audiences.
