Wounded Man(1986)

Wounded Man is a Japanese series following Yuko Kusaka, a journalist sent to Brazil to investigate the Amazon gold rush. After her crew is attacked and she's assaulted as a warning to abandon her investigation, Yuko discovers her attacker is Rio Baraki—a scarred, white-haired man who turns out to be Keisuke Ibaraki, a former quarterback. Falsely incriminated by a powerful organization called GPX, Ibaraki has reinvented himself as a gold digger in the Brazilian wilderness. Determined to complete her report despite the violence, Yuko becomes entangled with the mysterious man, uncovering secrets that connect his past to the dangerous world she's documenting. The series blends crime drama with survival elements as both characters navigate corruption, revenge, and redemption in the unforgiving Amazon.
