Zhan dou li cheng zhang is a Chinese historical drama set across three generations in 1930s and 1940s China. When a grandfather loses his land to a corrupt landlord and takes his own life, his son retaliates by burning down the landlord's house before fleeing to join the People's Liberation Army.
