Under the Red Robe is a 1620s French adventure film following Gil de Berault, a skilled swordsman caught between loyalty and desire. After defying Cardinal Richelieu's new anti-dueling law, Gil faces execution—unless he infiltrates a duke's castle to expose a Huguenot uprising. Posing as a guest, Gil begins gathering intelligence, but the duke's wife and sister grow suspicious of his true intentions. His mission spirals into chaos when he falls in love with the duke's sister, forcing him to choose between saving his own life and protecting the woman he loves. Tension mounts as deception unravels and danger closes in from all sides.
