Ki lesz a bálanya is a Hungarian film adapted from István Csurka's stage play. Four men gather regularly for high-stakes poker games, wagering money they often can't afford to lose. Between hands, their heated arguments reveal the weight of unfulfilled potential—each was once talented, capable of different lives. Now adrift between conviction and compromise, they exist in a kind of nihilism, trapped by their own choices. The film explores how ambition curdles into regret, and how men rationalize the gap between who they wanted to become and who they've become.
