The Green Girl is a documentary about Susan Oliver, the trailblazing actress who played the iconic green-skinned Romulan in Star Trek's original series pilot. Oliver logged over 120 major credits across film and television during the 1950s through 1980s, becoming a household name in the 1960s. Beyond acting, she was a pioneering aviator who set multiple world records as a pilot, and one of the few women directing major television shows in the 1980s. Oliver also served as an original member of the American Film Institute's Directing Workshop for Women. Despite her remarkable achievements across entertainment and aviation, Oliver's legacy faded after her death from cancer in 1990. This film restores her place in entertainment history.
