Porridge is a British comedy film following Norman Stanley Fletcher, a career criminal struggling to survive his latest prison stretch. When a brutal new officer named Beale arrives and makes the existing regime look lenient, tensions spike inside the walls. Meanwhile, the prison's feared godfather Grouty begins plotting an escape, and Fletcher finds himself caught between staying out of trouble and getting dragged into a dangerous scheme. Caught between the rock of harsh authority and the hard place of inmate politics, Fletcher must navigate the prison's treacherous social order while keeping his head down. The film balances dark humour with genuine peril as Fletcher's survival instincts are tested like never before.
