Tokyo Fist(1995)
Tokyo Fist is a Japanese film about a businessman whose mundane life unravels when he reconnects with a childhood friend turned boxer on the subway. Tsuda grows convinced that Kojima is seducing his fiancée Hizuru, and jealousy consumes him. Desperate to reclaim his dignity, Tsuda throws himself into boxing training with obsessive intensity. What begins as suspicion escalates into a brutal, visceral confrontation between the two men. Director Shinya Tsukamoto crafts a raw exploration of masculine pride and urban alienation, where violence becomes the language of desperation. The film's graphic intensity and unflinching approach to physical conflict mark it as a provocative work that challenges conventional storytelling about desire and rivalry.
