Thirteen at the Table is a French comedy about superstition, secrets, and New Year's Eve chaos. Madeleine Villardier is frantically preparing a grand party when she realizes her guest list has dwindled to exactly thirteen—a number that fills her with dread. Her anxiety deepens when Consuelo, an uninvited houseguest with mysterious knowledge of her husband Antoine's troubled past, arrives and threatens to upend her carefully ordered life. As Madeleine oscillates between séances and heated marital confrontations, she must confront both her superstitions and the uncomfortable truths lurking beneath her marriage. The film plays with the tension between fate and fortune, asking whether the unlucky number might actually bring unexpected blessings.
