Musicians of the Same Regiment(1965)

Musicians of the Same Regiment is a Soviet film set during the Russian Civil War, when invaders are withdrawing from a northern town. Alexei Ilyutinsky, a brave underground activist, infiltrates a musical troupe that entertains the White Army command and local population. Posing as a new horn player despite having no musical talent, Ilyutinsky passes the White Army's defense plans to the Reds and rescues Bolshevik Makeev, the former provincial chairman, from execution. The film blends espionage and music as it follows Ilyutinsky's dangerous mission to undermine enemy forces from within their own entertainment ensemble.
