24 Hours On Craigslist(2006)
24 Hours on Craigslist is a 2005 documentary that follows ordinary people through a single day of posts on the classified website. Filmed with founder Craig Newmark's blessing, the film captures interviews with users who agreed to participate after posting on August 4, 2003. Their stories reveal the human side of online commerce and connection—from job seekers and apartment hunters to those buying, selling, and meeting strangers through the platform. The documentary screened at nine film festivals in 2004 and 2005, earning recognition for best feature documentary. It received a limited theatrical release before becoming available on DVD in 2006. 24 Hours on Craigslist offers an intimate portrait of how a simple bulletin board transformed everyday transactions and community interaction in the early internet era.
