Zombie and the Ghost Train(1991)

Zombie is a Finnish comedy-drama about Antti "Zombie" Autiomaa, a talented bassist with a serious drinking problem. After months living rough in Istanbul, he returns to Helsinki and attempts to rebuild his life. Discharged from military service after a reckless incident, Zombie moves into an apartment near his ailing father while reconnecting with his on-and-off girlfriend Marjo. When his friend Harri offers him a spot as bass player in the band Harry and the Mulefukkers, Zombie gets a genuine second chance. But with both love and music within reach, he faces his greatest battle: overcoming his addiction. The film balances dark humor with genuine pathos as it explores whether Zombie can finally get sober.
